Rowland strengthens sports division in lead-up to Brisbane 2032
Leading strategic communication, digital and creative agency, Rowland, has signed one of the country’s leading sports marketing specialists, Jason Greenhalgh, to head Rowland Sport.
A veteran in sports marketing, Jason has over 30 years’ experience in sports management, media and communication, events and sponsorship, and has worked with some of Australia’s most successful sporting teams, brands and organisations.
Rowland itself has a strong sports heritage having been involved in assignments over the past 30+ years such as the recent NRL licence bid by the Redcliffe Dolphins, Commonwealth Games (production of the bid document), major golf tournaments, national athletic championships, launch of the South Queensland Crushers Rugby League team and a multiplicity of work in rugby (incl. Rugby Australia, Queensland Rugby Union and Brothers Rugby Club where Rodgers is current President).
Rowland Chairman Geoff Rodgers said Jason brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and unique skills to the role, having worked with an impressive list of clients and on major local, national and international projects in the sports sector.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jason to lead Rowland Sport. His expansive background in both consulting and in-house roles with top-tier sporting teams — the likes of the Wallabies, Socceroos, Brisbane Broncos, Queensland Reds and Queensland Firebirds — will help drive Rowland Sport,” Geoff said.
“Over the next decade, Australia will host an array of major sporting events as we prepare for the Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. The world will be watching as Brisbane, Queensland and Australia take centre stage, and Rowland Sport is excited to work with brands, teams and sporting organisations to help them make their mark.”
