Melissa specialises in unearthing, developing and articulating brand strategies and campaigns for organisations, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities and direction, and desired outcomes.

A well-travelled and highly experienced brand and marketing communication consultant, Melissa has held roles in respected agencies in Brisbane, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Sunshine Coast over the past 20 years.

Storytelling is the great connector — people to people, brands to people, people to projects, and people to products. Building stories is what helps me connect strategy with creativity.

As Head of Brand and Campaigns, Melissa has overseen a range of projects that include brand and positioning, brand strategy, market research, communication audits, digital, multimedia, publicity and media relations, marketing campaigns and advertising.

Melissa sees brand as a powerful organisational tool for bringing vision and strategy to life and is an expert at developing, implementing and managing brand and reputation projects that align to clients’ business and communication objectives.

Acutely aware of the trust clients place in Rowland when working on their brand, Melissa carefully guides her clients through the brand development process, remaining sensitive to key stakeholders’ needs and establishing strong, long-standing relationships along the way.

As an extension of brand, Melissa has also worked on high-profile and recognised campaigns from awareness and behaviour change, to B2C and launch programs.

Most recently, Melissa has delivered brands and strategies for National Storage, Solterra Agriculture, Sunshine Coast Airport, Brisbane South State Secondary College, Language Disorder Australia (including Bright Door and Mancel College), Titles Queensland, Stahmann Webster, Unitywater, Australian Food & Fibre Limited and Commerce Vision.
