Sarah Heath
Design Director, Head of Studio
Sarah has more than 30 years’ experience with leading design and communication consultancies in Sydney and Brisbane. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, information and behaviour — helping organisations translate complex ideas into materials that are understood, usable and effective.
Sarah has designed annual and sustainability reports, climate transition plans and other high-stakes corporate communication assets for many of Australia’s Top-200 companies, including CSR, Boral, Investa, Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, AMP, Port of Brisbane, Queensland Strawberry Industry, National Hire, Sydney Water, and Origin Energy.
She brings a deep understanding of how to simplify information for different stakeholder audiences — from boards and investors to employees and the broader community — ensuring messages are appropriate, credible and aligned to organisational priorities.
Design fundamentally solves problems. I love the overlay of great design and design thinking to simplify complexity, and solve communication challenges.
Several years working in-house with a Queensland peak body also provided significant expertise in addressing all aspects of brand and customer experience through strategic, audience-specific design.
Sarah has co-authored research articles on design thinking and cyberincivility, and written a paper on building online brand communities.
Originally from Sydney, Sarah has lived in Brisbane since 2008. She recently completed a degree in internet communications to ensure she remains at the forefront of digital.
Her big question right now is: How do we use design effectively to influence understanding, decision-making and behaviour change?
