We are currently recruiting a full-time Studio Manager who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of our Creative Studio, including workflow, budget, resource and project delivery management.

This position, located in our Brisbane CBD office, has the opportunity to work remotely at times.

Key responsibilities

  • Management, allocation and monitoring of design team workflow, aligning workflow and resources with project type and outcomes.
  • Update daily WIP and manage workflow of current projects and pipeline of work.
  • First point of contact for project brief, workflow co-ordination and deadlines.
  • Assist with developing comprehensive and accurate creative budgets.
  • Track budgets and prepare all cost estimates and weekly forecasting.
  • Cross-check content of design work to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage print suppliers to ensure high quality print outcomes and colour accuracy.
  • Liaise with external suppliers including printers, paper merchants, publications and digital agencies.
  • Proactive planning and monitoring of resource management to manage workloads and delivery time frames.
  • Seek and utilise project management and workflow tools and software to streamline processes.
  • Work with Director of Creative Services: reporting on status of projects.
  • Develop solutions to operational and resourcing challenges.
  • Assist in on-boarding new recruits.
  • Prepare print-ready and publication-ready artwork where required.
  • Desirable: Assist design team with basic typesetting and layout tasks.

Skills and qualifications

You have:

  • Extensive experience in studio management in creative agency environment
  • Relevant qualification or relevant studio management experience
  • Thorough understanding of the creative and production process for print and digital
  • Outstanding client and teamwork skills
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Desirable: Competent skills in Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign.
