Marcellina Powell has more than 15 years’ experience both agency and client-side in branding and strategic communication.

A senior practitioner, Marci is skilled across the gamut of communication practice areas, with a strong passion and talent for brand strategy, campaign creative direction, and employee value proposition.

A strong brand is not built on products or services, it’s built on people — their values, their connection to the brand vision, and how they communicate at every opportunity.

Always at the forefront of digital communication and new ways of shaping and sharing her client’s stories, Marci is trusted by national, high-calibre clients to advise on the best ways to engage their audiences, whether they are internal or external.

A true storyteller at heart, Marci loves getting to the crux of the emotional drivers that connect people with brands, unearthing market differentiators, and articulating clear and concise brand language that positions her clients for success.

Her new ideas, creative approach and critical thinking play a key role in complex and sensitive projects.

Marci has led brand projects for GOCs, tech start-ups and water utilities, and has been messaging lead on campaigns such as Translink Smart Ticketing, Brisbane and the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal and Australian Institute of Marine Science.

Most recently, Marci has spearheaded Rowland’s Employee Value Proposition offering, having led a number of client EVP projects, and is excited about bringing brands to life from within.

Prior to joining Rowland in 2015, Marci was a senior consultant at Lucid Media, a full- service media communication agency, where she managed an extensive range of local and national clients with consumer-facing brands.

Marci has also worked in-house for global rail infrastructure company Ansaldo STS and one of the first online travel booking websites Wotif.com.
